I live about 5 hours from Dallas Texas and was wondering if you or anyone you know has ever been to QuakeCon? It's been known to be really popular in the past, but isn't mentioned after Streamers brought Dreamhack to the spotlight.

I've been 3 times. Even though i was working the event (for Razer, CSN, and ESS) I had a blast. It's just a bunch of gamers, getting together to LAN and hangout for 3-4 days straight. It gets smelly, but it's a hell of a lot of fun! If you can go, even for one day, I say do it! I'm probably going to go this year again.

Gamers are considered a new subculture, and entered this list in 2013, after the recognition of cyber sports. Despite the fact that the term includes people who do not consider themselves full-fledged players, they are often called those who spend a lot of time playing games or are interested in them.
