Hey Wasup Everyone, My Name is Mike aka Storm. I am 40 years old from Cleveland Ohio, USA, I have been gaming a good little while now, and i am still amazed to what games and what systems are out and playable since the oddesy console system days i played on. As for this broadcasting ordeal I have a some what long drawn out story from the jtv days to the twitch days and now the hitbox days lol. through my little journey i have met some cool people that have coached me through the years to where i am today in this broadcasting industry.
I really enjoy broadcasting my games, I don't have a camera yet as I need to invest into one, one day. I stream a variety of games that are new and old, my favorite genre to stream are sports, fps & rpg element ( mass effect/ the last of us ) type of games. one thing I enjoy about watching other streamers is seeing there success as they have grown over time. i kept hearing about hitbox from a couple friends but I was reluctant about coming over to hitbox because i was so use to my layout and setup over at twitch, but as of the last year, i really don't like the direction i see twitch going in as far as a community, the community imo is becoming more and more immature to be honest, lots of trolls,servers issues, etc, just in short lots of negativity.
In hitbox however i see more of an older mature crowd with a community that is growing stronger and stronger everyday, the people that i have watched stream, not only take pride in there broadcast channel art work but there viewers as well. LauraLania is the reason i made the switch, she is always working so hard in the community to make positive movements for the better of all gamers, to feel at ease in what they wanna achieve from there broadcasting adventures. One thing I have learned in this whole ride is to treat people as you want to be treated, just because im in front of my pc and you are in front of yours does not give me the right to disrespect you or vice versa. next, you have to enjoy whatever you are doing in your channel, and most of all have fun and try o help the next streamer along the way if you can.
